Who we are
LPM Dance is an artist-led company bringing high quality dance initiatives to communities in Lancashire and beyond
About us
LPM Dance was established by George Adams and Helen Gould in 2011 through a joint ambition to create new dance initiatives for diverse audiences in a wide variety of settings. As an artist-led organisation, LPM Dance strives to place art, the artist, and the audience at the heart of our work. We enjoy being responsive to new opportunities, enabling us to enrich and further the understanding of our work in a broad range of contexts.

Our Ethos
Our practice promotes an inclusive ethos which provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience the power of dance.

Making a difference
We use movement and dance as a tool for collaboration, education and social change

Driven
We are driven by our artistic and creative ambitions to develop innovative projects and performance work.

Dance for Health
Research shows dance can support a wide range of health conditions by improving symptoms and supporting general well-being. Our expertise in health and well-being practice informs many of our projects. We have specialist training in dance & Parkinson’s, dance & dementia and dance & movement psychotherapy. George is also a trained craniosacral therapist and yoga therapist.

Collaboration
Collaboration informs how we approach our research, bringing together artists, communities, individuals and organisations from a range of backgrounds. This provides an exciting melting pot of opportunities that enriches and furthers our understanding of what we do, whilst connecting to more people.

Not for profit
LPM Dance is an artist-led, not-for-profit organisation with charitable aims. We are supported by our Board of non-executive directors.
