This class combines contemporary/lyrical style movement, which emphasises alignment, weight transfer, fluidity, gravity and momentum, with improvised, unchoreographed movement. Tuning our attention to how we move allows for a deep and personal connection to the dance. In allowing movement to emerge spontaneously, we can find more freedom of expression. Tuning our attention to others and the music can offer up new movement material enabling us to sense, discover and compose together. The workshop promises to be playful, engaging, and accessible.
