LPM Dance has an ongoing commitment to make our venues, programme and events as accessible and inclusive as possible for our visitors, both online and in person. We are constantly learning and making improvements, and value feedback and suggestions.

Our team are aware of the diversity of visitors’ access requirements and are here to support you. Get in touch if you have any specific queries about accessibility or would like more information to support your visit.

Some outdoor event venues can be difficult to access due to uneven terrain and weather-related changes. Our friendly team at LPM can advise on suggested routes for wheelchair and mobility scooter users.

During Your Visit:

Entrances: The main entrance for Fleetwood Moves is Memorial Park, Warrenhurst Road, Fleetwood, FY7 7AE. 

Road Directions: From M55 Jct 3 - take the A585 to Fleetwood to the A587/Station Road, at the roundabout take the first exit onto Copse Road, turn right onto Elm Street then left onto Warrenhurst Road.

Access: The park does not have its own car park. On street parking can be found near the entrance. The access point is located on the junction of Darbishire Road / Park Avenue / Warrenhurst Road, where step-free access is available. The gate is permanently open and the width of the gate is 154cm. The majority of the paths in the park are wide enough for wheelchair users. There are steep and slight slopes on the paths. There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.

Toilets: Accessible toilet facilities are available. The toilet is not for the sole use of disabled people. here is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door. The accessible toilet is approximately 40m (43yd 2ft) from the Warrenhurst Road access point. The accessible toilet is located ahead and to the left as you enter the park via the Warrenhurst Road access point. There is level access to this accessible toilet. The width of the accessible toilet door is 90cm (2ft 11in). The dimensions of the accessible toilet are 170cm x 223cm (5ft 7in x 7ft 4in). There is sufficient turning space in the cubicle for a wheelchair user. There is an emergency alarm.
Visual and Auditory Access:

We will have BSL (British Sign Language) interpretation for events on the main Melodrome stage. 

Our Team, Artists and Performers: Many of our team, artists and performers live with or have experience of working with people living with varying physical and mental conditions. We are well known for our work with SEN schools, and we strive at all times to provide the best possible experience for our visitors. Many of the performances welcome you to join in. 

Feedback: We welcome your feedback on Fleetwood Moves as we do all of our events. A Poetry Pod will be on site from 12-4pm where our friendly poet Anne will collect your feedback and turn it into poetry on the day!
