Working with Lancashire Libraries in Fulwood

A morning of walking, gentle exercise, dance and creativity with Fulwood Library ran over 15 weeks.

It began as a way of reintroducing public spaces to communities after lockdown. The walk enabled people to meet each other, chat and forge new friendships whilst gently exercising. The walk was followed by a seated exercise session in the library.

We gradually introduced poetry to the walk and offered more creative movement to the seated exercise sessions where we drew inspiration from the books, poetry and themes that arose in our conversations on the walk.
