“PENDLE WITCH” PERFORMANCE BY AIMEE WILLIAMSON
Pendle Witch is part of an Arts Council-funded outdoor dance theatre project that explores the story of the 1612 witch trials in Lancashire, exploring themes of community and non-conformity, expressed through a blend of contemporary and folk dance. Aimee’s work spans ballet, contemporary, folk dance, physical theatre and puppetry. She creates work for outdoor spaces using inspiration from folklore, nature and heritage.

WORKSHOP AND PERFORMANCES BY ASCENDANCE
Leeds-based dance group AscenDance will be bringing 2 performances of their signature high-quality, joyful, inclusive and accessible dance to Fleetwood Moves this year.
AscenDance will present two co-curated dance works performed by their adult performance company, Fuse Dance Collective. They will also be delivering a workshop.

AscenDance’s work supports physical, mental and social well-being for the over-50s, people living with Parkinson’s or with other neurological conditions.

STEP AHEAD
For Fleetwood Moves ’26, Ben Wilson Dance will be performing “Step Ahead”, a flagship production choreographed and performed by choreographer and dancer Ben Wilson.

Ben is a part of Talent Development North, which supports learning for disabled or autistic dance artists to explore, create and progress within dance.

DanceSyndrome will be performing dance and will also be delivering a workshop.

Dance Syndrome transforms lives, creating change, opportunities and joy for people with and without Down’s syndrome and other learning disabilities, using inclusive dance as a vehicle in a unique, ground-breaking way which doesn’t exist anywhere else. Dance Syndrome’s ethos is that disability should never be a barrier to following your dreams.
